Sarah & Connor’s Summer Sunflower Inspired Wedding
The number 1 thing we remember when thinking back to Sarah and Connor’s summer wedding is the amazing ENERGY! They were such a fun and playful couple and we loved hosting their day with their family and friends! On Friday, Sarah and Connor had a rehearsal dinner at the estate and welcomed guests to the property early.
The next morning, Sarah and all of her girls got ready together inside the Farmer Cottage. They really took advantage of the spaciousness of the cottage, as Sarah got ready in the light and airy sunroom while the rest of her bridesmaids get ready upstairs. Once her hair and makeup were done, Sarah headed upstairs into the master suite to get dressed with her mom. Afterwards, Sarah went outside for a first look with her Dad, followed by some wedding party portraits with her bridesmaids. We LOVED their choice of sunflowers in the bouquets as well as many of their other details throughout the day!
After getting ready off-property, Connor and his groomsmen arrived at Windridge and took their portraits just before the ceremony. One of our favorite photos is of Connor and his guys walking out of the corn field! Their guests began arriving by school bus and were quickly escorted into the ceremony by Megan from MLH Events’ team. We love working with Megan because the day always runs so smoothly with her there! During the ceremony, Sarah’s grandma acted as the flower girl, which was so sweet and fun to see!
Since Sarah and Connor decided not to see each other before the ceremony, their aisle reaction was extra special. Connor was radiating with joy and happy crying as he watched Sarah walk down the aisle! They were both so excited to be getting married and we loved seeing their little happy dances throughout the ceremony!
Inside the Red Barn, Megan’s team set up reception tables with more sunflowers in the centerpieces. Sarah and Connor even made their own hanging dessert bar backdrop out of tree branches and photos. We loved that the couple also utilized the White Stone Barn by having their buffet dinner set up in there. At the end of the night, Sarah and Connor had a path of votive candles set up outside the Red Barn and they had an awesome sparkler exit with all of their guests present!
