Melinda & Will’s Minimalist Mint Wedding

Today’s wedding highlight features Melinda and Will’s lovely minimalist mint wedding from June of 2019! One of the reasons Melinda and Will picked Windridge Estate for their wedding is because it was the perfect meeting point for both of their families, who are from Rochester and the Hudson Valley. Despite the forecast showing a chance of rain the entire day, the weather pulled through with stunning blue skies. Will and his groomsmen got ready down in the village at Brae Loch Inn. At the estate, Melinda was joined by her bridesmaids and mother inside the Farmer Cottage. They started the morning off with bagels and refreshing beverages as they got ready in the airy sunroom. After Melinda’s hair and makeup was done, she headed up to the master suite. There her mom and grandmother helped Melinda into her gorgeous minimalist dress.
First Looks
After putting on her final touches, Melinda descended down the staircase to meet her dad for their first look moment! Meanwhile, Will and his groomsmen arrived at the estate and decided to play a game of bocce ball until Melinda came outside for her first look with Will.
Melinda and Will had their first look in a private little corner of the estate, surrounded by trees. Afterwards they jumped right into couples portraits together by the tree swing and grape arbor! Melinda and Will were also able to get a sneak peak of their ceremony before guests arrived. They even took a few portraits in front of their ceremony arch beforehand, which was so special!
The Wedding

Their ceremony was set up on the front lawn of the main house, overlooking our 200+ year old oak tree. Floribunda Designs decorated our circular arch with beautiful, simplistic white and peach florals, plus lots of greenery! Everything tied together so beautifully as Melinda and Will’s guests sat down for the ceremony and their wedding party entered in mint colored dresses and ties.

Following the ceremony, their guests migrated to the bluestone patio outside of the Red Barn for cocktail hour. There they were able to enjoy lawn games, bocce ball, the firepit, a cigar bar, various vintage lounge spaces, and the amazing VW Photo Booth Bus! Inside the Red Barn, the couple’s wedding coordinator, Courtney of Magically Yours, set up their “Mint to Be” themed reception! The tables were set with mint colored napkins and minimalist clear glasses and vases with baby’s breath and white flowers. Simply stunning!
