Whether you’re having your wedding weekend at Windridge Estate or visiting the area for a few days, here’s our list of 8 things to do during the fall season in Cazenovia, NY!

1. Critz Farms

If you read our last post on fun things to do in Caz you might remember seeing this awesome, family-friendly farm on our list! Critz Farms offers SO many great fall-inspired activities for both families with younger kids and the adult crowd as well! Head on out to their apple orchard to pick your own apples and then head into their brewery and cidery to grab a drink from their selection of award-winning hard ciders, seasonal brews, and wine!

If you’re bringing little ones along with you (or if you’re a kid at heart!), be sure to hop on one of Critz’s hayrides around the farm before navigating your way through their corn maze! Now we of course CANNOT forget about their pumpkin patch! Head over to their massive pumpkin field and go pick out the perfect pumpkin to carve or even to decorate your home with!

Don’t miss out on Critz’s incredible Fall Harvest Celebration! Find more info on what’s going on at the farm here!

2. Our Farm

Here is another awesome location for pumpkin picking and hayrides! And while you are visiting, check out their super detailed corn maze shaped like a crab! Each year the farm chooses a new theme for their maze, some past mazes being shaped like anything from a horse to a guitar or an airplane!

Something really special about this farm though, is their pumpkin-throwing catapult named Boris! Boris can throw pumpkins over 200 feet across their field and it is quite the crowd pleaser! Plus, who wouldn’t love to see some pumpkin chucking during their fall getaway to Caz!

3. Meier’s Creek Brewing Company

Whether you have a beer lover in the family or you just want to try out something new, definitely stop by Meier’s Creek Brewing Company. Their brand new taproom opened this past August and is an awesome place to hang back and relax with friends while sipping on some beers brewed in-house. To stay in the fall spirit, make sure you try their Oktoberfest beer and don’t miss out on their delicious fall menu if you’re stopping for a meal!

4. Fall Foliage

Another great place to visit is the Free Center, where you can take in incredible views of fall colors from atop a hill and see the windmill farm at work! If you love modern art, be sure to check out Stone Quarry Hill Art Park to see the breathtaking combination of sculpture, as well as other art forms with the stunning fall landscape of CNY!

Go on a self-guided exploration of the area or plan a pre-scheduled ghost tour with the museum! If you’re looking for an overnight stay, spend a night at the Brae Loch Inn, where guests have reported seeing “friendly ghosts” visit them in their rooms at night!

7. Nelson Odeon
